HELPING HONDURAS KIDS (HHK) – WHAT OUR PARTNERSHIP LOOKS LIKE
HHK is our biggest partner in Honduras. Through our partnership with them, many doors have been open to help the people of Honduras, in La Ceiba and in the surrounding villages and remote jungle areas. With the help of smart devices and the internet, we are able to communicate regularly with David Ashby, the founder of HHK and his daughter Dana. We share devotions and prayer requests almost daily. In just a few short years we have developed a strong bond of friendship. They are able to let us know what their needs are as well as share their dreams of expanding ministry. We take that information to the leadership team of AICM and determine what we will tackle for the year. We spend the months between trips fundraising, collecting donations, and promoting the AICM vision of meeting the needs of orphans and widows in their distress in Honduras. In the weeks leading up to our trip we gather, organize, and pack up the supplies into large “army size” duffle bags. Our team members then hand deliver the requested supplies to HHK. But it doesn’t stop there. Once in country, we partner with their leaders in ministry throughout La Ceiba and the surrounding countryside all the while building relationships we hope will last to the next generation.
